After spending several years in London, homeowner and designer Wendy and her family returned to California and purchased a beautiful oak studded property in the small town of Ross. We envisioned an archetypal home with a clapboard siding, something a bit East Coast in style. While based on classical design principles, we modified traditional elements to keep them current. The floor plan, while open, maintains some separation in formal areas. The home focuses on natural light, access to the outdoors, and a color palette of white with black accents. The house and property have a cohesive sense of calm and beauty, and the homeowner shave ended up with the home of their dreams.
