Established in 1989, the work of Chambers + Chambers encompasses a wide range of residential projects. Barbara Chambers maintains the practice just north of San Francisco in Mill Valley, California.

Chambers + Chambers is a boutique firm, focused primarily on custom residential work. In addition to providing comprehensive architectural services, the office also provides interior design services. The firm takes a collaborative approach to design, fostering an open exchange of ideas, both within the firm and with clients. Highly tailored to the site, context, program, and client's needs, each of the firm's projects takes on a unique character and appearance. The award winning work of Chambers + Chambers has been featured on national television and has been published widely in both books and magazines.

Barbara Chambers has led the firm by designing a wide range of custom home projects. Under her direction, the firm has completed houses primarily in Northern California and in other parts of the United States.

Barbara Chambers received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Painting. She later completed her Master of Architecture.
